070 CLUB QRP DX SCRAMBLE

Purpose - To work as many DX Stations as possible in the allotted time using PSK31 mode. This event is open to all amateurs licensed to operate on the 20m band.

Entry Catagories - Single Op, QRP only (5 watts maximum output).

Date - 0000Z - 2400Z, 28 December 2008. Work a maximum of 12 hours, operator's choice. Operator may work any 12 hours within the 24 hour contest period in one (1) hour minimum increments.

On-time and Off-time - On-time must be a minimum of one (1) hour. Off-time must be a minimum of one-half (1/2) hour. Listening counts as on-time. On and off-times must be clearly marked in the log.

Exchange - Call sign, first name and DX entity. Call "CQ DX".

DX Reference - For this event the DX reference will be WorldRadio's "Worked 100 Nations" list available at http://www.wr6wr.com.

Bands - 20m only, use normal PSK31 operating sub-band. All contacts must be 2-way PSK31. No repeater, cross-mode or cross-band contacts allowed.

Suggested Freq - 14.070 MHz.

Scoring -
QSO Points: Each contact counts one (1) QSO point, dupes count zero (0) points.
DX Multipliers: Each different DX entity worked will count as follows:
   The first ten (10) DX entities worked will be worth ten (10) points each.
   DX entities eleven (11) and above worked will be worth one hundred (100) points each.
   DX multipliers are based on the Worldradio "Worked 100 Nations" list.

Final score = (Total QSO Points) x (Total DX Entity Points).

Awards - The top three scores will receive a certificate. All 070 Club member entries received will automatically qualify for an Attaboy. For more info on the 070 Club check out http://www.podxs070.com.

Entries - Send log data showing date, on-time(z), off-time(z), time(z) of contact, band, exchange sent, exchange received and claimed score. For entries with 100 contacts or more include a dupe sheet listing contacts in call sign alphanumeric order. Be sure to include your name and call sign, mailing address and e-mail address. Send your entry as a .txt, .doc, .cbr, .xls or .adi file via e-mail (best way) to n3dqu@yahoo.com or via post to:

A listing of logs received and claimed scores will be posted on the 070 Club website http://www.podxs070.com//contests/2008_dx_scramble_results.htm. entries with excessive dupes will be listed as check logs. All entries are subject to verification. ENTRIES RECEIVED WITH TOTAL ON-TIMES GREATER THAN 12 HOURS WILL BE LISTED AS CHECK LOGS, NO EXCEPTIONS.
